Each year, we select a pressing theme (e.g., agriculture, education, healthcare) and challenge participants to build creative tech solutions—apps, tools, or systems—that address it. From coding marathons to mentorship sessions, Xalkadoon is a launchpad for ideas that can transform communities.

How it works
  • Take a Photo – Snap a picture of a plant (leaf, flower, or tree).
  • AI Detection – Our app scans the image and identifies the plant species.
  • Get Somali Info – Receive facts about the plant, including its name in somali

A Web app that connects farmers, landowners, and equipment providers in a seamless, efficient marketplace.

  • Rent Equipment: Affordable access to tractors, plows, seeders, and more.
